Visitor Information

1. Get Directions: All Souls Fellowship is located at 647 E. College Ave. in Decatur. Click here

2. Get Dressed: For whatever reason, the question of appropriate attire can cause a great deal of anxiety. After all, you don't want to be the only one wearing a suit! But what if you wear jeans and everyone stares at you? At All Souls, while we are certainly on the more casual end of the spectrum, you are free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. A dress is great. Jeans are absolutely fine. Truthfully, it doesn't matter.

2. Get Parked: The main entrance to the church is located on the corner of E. College Ave. and New Street. Click here for a parking map.

3. Get Oriented: In our lobby, visit the Information Table. Someone will be there to answer any questions you might have. You can grab information about ongoing ministries, general stuff about All Souls, or upcoming events. Also, if you have children, this is the place to get directions to the appropriate classrooms. (link to a map of the building) Please note: nursery for infants and toddlers is available throughout the entirety of both worship services. Our nursery is staffed by trained and friendly folks. Children ages 2 and up participate in the first part of the worship service and are dismissed to their classes at the break of both services. In their classes, there will be lots of fun, a craft, snacks and a lesson from the Bible to help them learn about the Christian faith.

4. Get a Worship Guide: As you enter the auditorium you will be greeted by a friendly face (hopefully) and given a program that will contain the entire liturgy for the service as well as announcements and information about our church.

The service will include music, prayers (silent and spoken), Scripture readings, a sermon, the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Sometimes we throw in other stuff just to mix it up.

As a visitor, you are invited to participate as much or as little as you wish. Nothing will be expected of you. We are just glad to have you with us.

5. Get Some Coffee: As noted above, children are dismissed to their classes about 1/3 of the way into the service. Since we allow about 5 minutes for this to happen, take the opportunity to go get some more coffee and say hello to some folks. We know it's weird, but we appreciate the opportunity to meet you. Of course, if you don't want to talk to anyone all you have to do is to remain firmly in your seat or walk very briskly to and from your child's class.

6. Get Connected: You should find an orange, rectangular Connection Card on or around your seat. If you fill it out, we promise not to call you unless you explicitly ask us to do so. But, you can use this card to request information from us and to share any needs for prayer. We will not solicit you in any way. Please drop this card in the basket during the offering. Another note: if you are visiting with us, we do not want your money. A filled-out Connection Card is more than enough. Seriously, no money.

7. Get Involved: As a visitor to All Souls you will never feel pressured to jump in. Again, we are just glad you're here. You are free to remain a "guest" for as long as you need. But, should you feel the need to get involved in one of our many opportunities for community or service, there are wonderful relationships awaiting you! All you have to do is fill out a Connection Card and check the appropriate box or you can contact any one of our staff directly.
