Our Staff

Dan has been the assistant pastor at All Souls Fellowship since 2004. He is originally from Chicago and while he has somewhat adjusted to the South, you still won't find him drinking sweet tea and he has not yet learned how to pull off some Southern hospitality. Dan has been married to Lynda since 1996 and they have 4 kids (Emily, Ben, Joey and Lucy). All four kids take after their dad in that they are loud and messy. Without Lynda there would be no stability in the Adamson household - plus, without Lynda's amazing cooking, all we would eat is nacho's and Rice a Roni. Dan loves music, (Bon Iver, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens, Sun Kil Moon) Television, (The Shield, Lost, The Office), and Belgian Beer ( Gulden Draak, St. Bernardus Abt. 12, & Abbaye de ros) and most Chicago Sports teams (except the Cubs).

Matt is a local boy. Both he and his wife, Stacey, moved to Atlanta as children and met during college at Georgia Tech. After a brief stint living over seas and four years in Philadelphia they were excited to move back home. They have two beautiful girls, Zoe and Cameron who love the zoo, reading books, and dancing. Stacey works as a graphic designer and plays a mean guitar! Matt loves to read, drink coffee, hang out, watch movies and eat good food. Matt oversees the 20 somethings, college and youth ministries at the church, as well as Sunday morning operations.

Lori is a Philly girl, but she and her husband Josh have lived in Decatur for most of their married life. They love their neighborhood so much that they have lived in three different places within a quarter mile. Their home is filled with the noises of three kids: Jordan, Emma and Eli. The fish are relatively quiet. Lori loves to read, play games with the family and enjoys weekly movie nights with her family. Prior to realizing that Atlanta is not the best town for commuting, she did accounting work at Jackson, Reece & Scott in Norcross.

Dean has been attending All Souls since the beginning. In fact, he even knew Shayne when he still had hair. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. He figured out pretty quick that engineering was not his profession of choice, so he now works part time as a Physics teacher in Suwanee and hangs out with young people at All Souls. When he is not pondering the mysteries of the universe, Dean enjoys hiking and camping in the Georgia mountains, running, listening to awesome music, reading good books, and really just life in general.

Rachel was born and raised in the South. After completing her masters in Biblical Counseling she and her hunky husband moved to Atlanta and have loved every minute of city life. When she's not working part time, or digging in the dirt with her two boys and German Shepherd, she loves to eat out and dream about her next travel destination. After spending time in Brazil, Kenya, and Europe she hopes to add more countries and continents to her passport. She's been volunteering and working at All Souls since 2005.

Seth has been a member at All Souls since 2005 when he and his beautiful wife Renee moved to Atlanta from Michigan. He is currently a student at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta and Renee works as a Physician Assistant for Emory Healthcare and pays the bills. The staff was gracious enough to let Seth start hanging around as an intern in September 2008 while he learns how to be a pastor and put all that theology stuff into practice. Someday, Seth wants to teach theology and Biblical studies to pastors in a foreign mission context while Renee works in medical missions. They don't have any kids yet, but probably someday. He enjoys all things sports related, hiking and backpacking, reading, traveling, the fine art of good beer, and good movies.

Susan and Jeff, along with their two children, Lawrence and Victoria, have been a part of All Souls from the very beginning. The Trottis love this city. Jeff was born and raised in Decatur, and he and Susan have lived here since 1995. They love the small town feel within a large city. Susan has been the Children's Ministry Coordinator at All Souls since 2005. She was a middle school teacher for three years and a paralegal for nine years before coming to work at All Souls. Susan and her family enjoy watching movies, taking walks and playing board games.

A day in the life of Carrie would include everything from good coffee and picking up dirty socks to yoga and playing Rock Band on Xbox 360. Learning the finer art of how to talk "middle school" as well as how to distinguish a Zinfandel from a Malbec is a normal and often simultaneous occurrence on the Wheeler front porch. Carrie loves to try to play any instrument she can get her hands on and can actually play one of them (piano). Her CD collection would include anything from Beethoven to Prince, with a large smattering of Harry Connick. No 80's hair bands, please. Besides music, Carrie enjoys trying out at a new savory recipe and will occasionally even read a good book. But she really gets the biggest kick out of sharing life with her husband and 3 children.

The first thing to know about Shayne is that he scored a major coup by marrying Carrie in 1992. They met in college at Western Kentucky University and have three kids: Calvin, Emma, and Audrey. None of the kids have figured out that it is weird for their Dad to be a Pastor. Shayne loves to read, train for half-marathons, ride his motorcycle, and smoke fine cigars. He also loves to watch television (the Office, 24, Lost, House, etc.) and is really into 80's hair bands. Prior to moving to Decatur in 2001, Shayne served as a Youth Pastor churches in Missouri, Virginia, and the suburbs of Atlanta.

David and Sara met at high school band camp (yeah, we know its nerdy) in Defiance, Ohio. David moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech. Six years and countless phone calls later, they got married and Sara moved to Atlanta. They began to attend ASF in 2006. In their free time, David and Sara enjoy traveling, cheering for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (particularly the basketball team), and chaperoning lock-ins with dozens of teenagers. Most of all, they love to spend time with their family and friends. David is working on his PhD in electrical engineering at Georgia Tech. Sara is an Analyst in Global Sales and Distribution at Delta Air Lines.
