Community Groups
What is the Purpose of Community Groups?
The Purpose of Community groups is to provide a place to experience Jesus Christ in our midst, ministering to us and through us to one another. Community groups are the primary place for us to be in relationship with one another. Where people can become "close enough to make a difference" in each others lives and in our city. These groups provide a place where people can help one another learn to live out and apply the Gospel in every day life. They are also the chief means by which the following are accomplished:
- Assimilation of new members
- Accountability and discipleship
- Identification and exercise of spiritual gifts
- Leadership development
- Service and ministry to one another and the needs of the larger culture and society
- Communication of the vision of All Souls Fellowship
How do I get Involved in a Community Group?
There are three possible avenues:- Invitation It is our hope that through natural conversations with one another in church or some church-related activity, group members will intentionally invite others to their group. If in your conversations with someone you find out that they are a part of a community group, fee free to ask them if they would mind you joining them.
- Request You can also indicate your interest in being in a community group by filling out a connection card or by e-mailing Dan Adamson at dan@allsoulsfellowship.org>.
- Start a new Group Perhaps you have been involved with a church previous to your coming to All Souls Fellowship. You may feel that you could help lead a group if you had sufficient support from the church staff. If this is the case, we welcome the opportunity to talk with you.
